Patios, pools & walkways
The best room in the house is outside.
Your patio, pool deck, and walkways deserve the same attention to color and detail as the rooms inside. With TORGINOL® decorative flake, a palette drawn from surrounding materials creates a welcoming foundation for the way you live outdoors.
A Place for every part
of outdoor living.
From a quiet evening on the patio to an afternoon beside the pool, outdoor living takes many forms. A coordinated flake finish connects these spaces while leaving room for each to feel distinct.
Patio
Your Outdoor Living Room, done right.
Patios carry the grill, the planters, the late-night card games and whatever the weather brings. A TORGINOL® flake finish gives that slab real color, wipes clean after a spill and turns plain concrete into the room everyone heads to.
Walkways
First impressions start at the curb.
Walks, steps and driveways handle tires, shovels, salt and the daily mail run. A TORGINOL® flake finish ties them together in one look from street to door, so the house looks finished before anyone reaches the porch.
Pool Deck
Wet feet, hot sun, sure footing.
Splashing, dripping, racing for the deep end—a pool deck stays wet from the first warm weekend to the last. Pair a TORGINOL® flake finish with a slip-resistant topcoat and the deck keeps its grip and its color, even at high noon.
Why Flake was made
for the outdoors.
Color that stays
UV+ Flake and a UV-stable topcoat keep the sun from bleaching the blend you chose.
Grip when it's wet
Broadcast flake adds texture, and slip-resistant topcoats add bite by pools and steps.
Four-season tough
Rain, snow, salt, heat—a properly sealed surface keeps water out of the concrete below.
One continuous look
Run one finish across patio, steps and walk, with no grout lines to stain or chip out.
Five Layers between
you and the weather.
The flake is what you see. The four layers around it are why it lasts through August heat and February ice.
Layer 1
Concrete Substrate
Your patio or deck slab, with cracks repaired and the surface profiled for a strong bond.
Layer 2
Primer
Soaks into the concrete and seals it, so the layers above have something solid to hold.
Layer 3
Base Coat
The color foundation: a pigmented resin that sets the tone and locks the flake in place.
Layer 4
Decorative Flake
UV+ Flake, broadcast until the surface is fully covered, for lasting color and texture.
Layer 5
Topcoat
A UV-stable clear coat, with slip-resistant options, that takes the sun and the traffic.
Find the Blend your
backyard has been missing.
UV+ Flake leads the lineup for full-sun spaces. The other two collections shine on covered porches, patios and entries.
UV+ Flake
Made for full sun and high noon.
Ordinary color fades by August—UV+ Flake is formulated for superior UV stability, so the deck looks as good in fall as in May.
Flake
Made to match the brick, the trim, the door.
From sandy neutrals to bold mixes, Flake's blends pair with brick, siding, and stone on covered porches, patios and entries.
Hybrid Flake
Stone-like depth for covered patios.
Several flake sizes in one blend give Hybrid Flake the layered look of terrazzo or natural stone under a roof or awning.

Outside the door,
it's still your floor.
Pool decks, porches, walkways and balconies—if there's concrete under open sky, there's a finish worth putting on it.
Test your top picks in real sunlight.
A blend can look different at noon than it does at dusk. Order samples and set them beside your siding, stone and pavers before you choose.
Picture it before the first coat.
Snap a photo of your patio, deck, or front walk, upload it to the floor visualizer and try blends until one clicks.
Good Questions for
a patio project.
Sun, slip, freeze-thaw and timing—here's what homeowners and property managers ask first.
UV+ Flake is formulated for superior UV stability, so it resists the fading ordinary finishes show after a few summers. Ask your installer to pair it with a UV-stable topcoat for the best results.
Broadcast flake gives the surface texture, and slip-resistant topcoat options add extra grip around pools, steps, and entries. Tell your installer how the space is used so they can set the right texture.
Usually, if the slab is sound. An installer cleans, patches, and profiles the concrete before coating. Slabs that are heaving or badly cracked may need repair first, so start with an on-site assessment.
Sealing the surface helps keep water out of the concrete, where freezing does its damage. Cold-climate performance depends on prep and the coating system, so ask your installer what they recommend locally.
Coatings cure best within a set range of temperature and humidity, so most outdoor projects land in milder months. Windows vary by region and system, so book early to get the dates you want.
Make the outside as finished as the inside.
Talk to an installer, order a few samples, and see your space with a new floor before the next season starts.
